As a member of the Securities Services Tax Product Management team, you will oversee program management and execute initiatives across the Cash and Payments, Liquidity, and F/X businesses, focusing on managing the tax function comprehensively in collaboration with business and functional stakeholders. You will participate in governance and quality assurance of tax solutions and operating models, while evaluating opportunities and risks arising from external and internal tax-related changes. This role provides the chance to collaborate closely with various teams and directly influence the products and solutions offered to clients, aiding their global investment strategies.
Job Responsibilities
Develop a robust understanding of the Securities Services client base and market dynamics - offerings in market, regulatory changes, emerging client requirements and product needs
Manage the oversight model ensuring that tax regulations and associated reporting obligations are met in each market. Review and refine the oversight model resulting from changes in market requirements and/or business structure
Collaborate with business, operations and risk management teams to assess the tax impact of Market & Regulatory developments on product offerings. Ensure that resultant solutions meet agreed requirements / standards
Act as an escalation point for tax product related questions and ensure suitable resolution and management of issues
Lead strategic, complex, cross-functional projects throughout the lifecycle from ideation to project execution and post implementation review, ensuring the quality and timeliness of the project completion
Support Ad-hoc research and resolution of daily issues
Support client requests that require a change to the product offering. Conduct business assessments, define / create solutions to manage the implementation
Engage with adjacent product teams and regional colleagues to drive product synergies and operational efficiencies
Develop and maintain client facing collateral to support go-to-market initiatives
Subject to capacity, assist with tax product initiatives across the Securities Services franchise
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
Minimum 8 years of experience in managing tax considerations for securities, cash, payments, liquidity or f/x services
Ability to move process change, from the definition of initial requirements through to the delivery of the end solution
Demonstrated ability to think analytically and strategically with respect to product strategy and development agenda
Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to navigate complex client needs
Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working across functions and regions
Organisational and planning skills and a track record of delivery
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
Knowledge of the securities settlement lifecycle, and operational considerations in supporting cross-border portfolio investment strategies
Understanding of FATCA and CRS operational requirements
Experience in institutional product life cycle activities
Experience in data analytics and data literacy
Experience using emergent technologies such as generative AI to support process automation initiatives
Experience in adjacent product areas such as custody, fund services, securities lending, or collateral management solutions
